Daniel M. Davis began studying the immune system at Harvard University, after obtaining a PhD in Physics. He is the Head of Life Sciences and a Professor of Immunology at Imperial College London. Davis helped pioneer the nanoscale biology of how immune cells recognize signs of disease, and his research using super-resolution microscopy to study immune cell biology was listed in Discover magazine as one of the Top 100 breakthroughs of the year. He has published over 130 academic papers, collectively cited over 11,000 times, including articles in Nature, Science and Scientific American. He tweets at @dandavis101.
